Imovan is used to help people who have problems with sleeping. This includes problems with falling asleep, staying asleep or getting up too early.
How Imovan-zopiclone Taken
Use Imovan as directed by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Imovan with a meal.
Warnings/Precautions
Before taking Imovan, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances, if you are allergic to any ingredient in Imovan, if you have fluid in your abdomen, hearing impairment, liver disease, diabetes mellitus, low urine output, high blood uric acid levels, a blood disorder, kidney disease, lupus, have had a heart attack, or are dehydrated, if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or are breast–feeding. If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Imovan while you are pregnant. Imovan is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast–feeding while you use Imovan, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby. Some medicines may interact with Imovan. Therefore tell your doctor of all prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement that you are taking. Do not take Imovan if you have a history of alcohol or drug abuse, liver or lungs disease, or if you have thoughts of suicide. This medication is best used on a short term basis or only when needed. If you are taking this medication for a long time, you may find that you need a higher dose to see any effect on your sleep.

If you miss a dose take it as soon as you remember. However if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the

Store Imovan at 68 – 77 °F (20 – 25 °C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Imovan out of the reach of children.

Imovan may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Imovan is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Imovan with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this drug. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Imovan should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed. Do not take less or more or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
